Clay (Explorer) to enrich enrich newsletter subscribers
CRM or ESP to import a list of subscribers and their emails
How does ExitFive charge top dollar for sponsorship placements in their newsletter?
By ensuring sponsors know exactly who they’re reaching.
Enter: Clay.
We helped ExitFive build a custom table that enriches subscribers with information their sponsors kept asking for, like company emails, company name, job titles, employee count, industry, revenue, and more.
Now you can use this Claybook to do the same.
Here’s how it works:
First, copy this template in Clay.
If you’re already a user, you’ll be directed to your workspace. If not, you’ll be prompted to create a free Clay account.
The interactive demos on the right will walk you through each step of this Claybook.
Next, connect your account and subscriber list to the table. The table will import subscribers automatically over time. Then map Hubspot fields to the first four cells in the column:
Note: If you don’t have a Hubspot account, replace this column with your CRM or email service provider (ESP) so you can import subscribers.
Last, connect your Hubspot account to the last column (create or update contact) so you can send enriched data back to your list. If you’re using a different CRM or ESP, add it here instead.
Then sit back as Clay automatically enriches subscribers as you get them.
Enrich newsletter subscribers with contact and company information so media sponsors know who they’re reaching and pay more.
Simply copy this template, follow the steps above, and let Clay work its magic.
If you have any issue, you can ask for help in Slack or schedule time with a Clay expert.
