The company uses insects — primarily silkworms — as bioresources to produce sustainable proteins, fats, plant biostimulants, and recombinant proteins. Its novel reactor-free platform uses silkworms as living bio-factories to manufacture recombinant proteins for diagnostics, animal vaccines, and other applications. Loopworm operates a 6,000-tonne-per-year insect processing facility in Bengaluru and exports to Europe, South America, and ASEAN markets. It holds certifications including ISO 22000, GMP+, and HACCP.
