Getting started with Datagma

The Datagma integration in Clay allows users to enrich data on companies and individuals, including finding contact information like mobile numbers, work emails, and social profiles. This tool is especially useful for enhancing lead generation and outreach by providing critical details on companies and employees based on various search criteria.

There are many actions you can do with Datagma, including:

  • Enrich Company
  • Enrich Person
  • Find Mobile Number
  • Find Social Profile (LinkedIn)
  • Find Work Email
  • Find Emplyees at Company Based on Title

We'll cover how to connect Clay to Datagma, then we'll go over each action that is available with Datagma.

But first let's talk a bit about data enrichment waterfalls.

Getting better email and phone number coverage with waterfall enrichments

Datagma is great for finding email and phone number contacts, but it's not the only way to get this data.

For better coverage on email data, we recommend using Clay's waterfall enrichments, which will let you search sequentially across multiple data providers. Learn more on how to use Clay waterfalls with this Clay University lesson.

That said, let's get into it on how to use Datagma with Clay!

Connecting with Clay with Datagma

You have two options to connect Datagma with Clay.

Option 1: Use the Clay-managed Datagma account

By default, Datagma enrichments will use the Clay-managed Datagma account. This means that any new enrichment will charge the designated credit amount.

Simply pull up any Datagma enrichment within Clay to use the Clay-managed Datagma account.

Option 2: Add your own Datagma API key

If you are currently on paid plan (Starter, Explorer, Pro) you can use your own Datagma account within Clay through an API key.

To add your own API key for any Datagma enrichment, you can do so when you're selecting an account.

Heads up! You'll need at least a Starter plan ($149/mo) to use your own Datagma API key. API key usage is not accessible on the free plan.

Below is an example of where to click within the enrichment panel to add your API key. For more instructions on how to find your Datagma API key, follow these instructions within Datagma's documentation.
