Run an enrichment

How to run an enrichment

Here are the steps to running an enrichment:

  1. Within the top corner of your table, select Add enrichment.
  2. Choose the enrichment you want to run.
  3. If applicable, specify your integration account.
  4. Configure the enrichment inputs and set the desired run settings.
  5. Save your action and optionally you can run your action.

Parts of an enrichment side panel

Enrichment panels are made up of several key components. Note that some enrichments may not include all of these elements:

  • Template — For integration actions such as HTTP API or Use AI, you can create, save, and run pre-configured templates. Learn more in the templates guide.
  • Account — Choose between using your own API key or a Clay-managed integration account for your enrichment. To set up an integration account, refer to the Managing Integration Accounts guide.
  • Configure — Provide the required input, such as prompts or setup parameters, to execute your action. Ensure you review all available fields, as they can significantly impact the output of your integration action.
  • Define Outputs — Specify the desired format for the response. Outputs can be returned as individual fields or structured in a JSON schema.
  • Run Settings — Enable Auto-Update to automatically run actions for new rows, or use Conditional Runs to trigger actions based on specific criteria.

Run options

When you click on Save within within an enrichmnet panel, you have three main options to run an enrichment:

  • Save and run 10 rows
  • Save and run the number of rows within your view
  • Save and don’t run

Add enrichment data as columns to your table

With certain enrichments, you can select specific data points to add as columns in your table.

After configuring your enrichment action, you’ll have the option to choose which data fields (e.g., Emails, Type, Confidence) to display as columns.

Use the toggle switches to enable these fields and customize your table view. This step ensures you can view relevant enrichment results directly in your table.
